Gippsland Weekend

14 Gippsland Weekend| Friday, August 28, 2026 Women’s Health Week 7th-11th september 2026 A new women's wellbeing event is set to take place in Central Gippsland this spring, offering local women a dedicated space to rest, connect, and explore holistic health practices. Coordinated by local organisers Julia and Jess, "Sparkle" will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Mewburn Park Homestead in Tinamba. Described as a "beautiful pause," the one-day retreat is designed to blend the structured learning of a wellness expo with the relaxed, open spirit of a boutique wellness festival. Running from 10am-6pm, the retreat features a fully programmed schedule of group sessions included with the price of admission. Attendees are invited to participate in as many sessions as they wish, with the option to opt out of activities to rest. The day's itinerary includes: - Morning: Gentle "Awakening" yoga, a guided journaling session titled "A Moment with Me," and an informative women's health panel discussion with a live Q&A. - Afternoon: Deeper-dive workshops, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping, and an expressive dance session. - Evening: A symbolic "Let It Go" journal release, a shamanic journey, a sound healing session, and a concluding fire release ceremony. As part of the afternoon program, ticket holders can choose to participate in one of four specialised, smaller group workshops: a drumming circle with Christine, a sensory clay workshop with Teagan, a nutrition seminar with Olivia, or a campfire discussion on taboo topics with Kaz. Organisers expect to welcome between 50 and 80 women to the homestead's extensive gardens. To accommodate different needs throughout the day, the event area has been divided into three zones: - The connect corner: A casual, open-air lounge equipped with bean bags, beach chairs and yoga mats set to slow music. Food and beverages will be available here throughout the day, with local vendors Tri Acai and the MaffCo Airstream Foodtruck providing nutritious dining options. - The healing hub: Designed as a "taster space," this hub allows participants to sample various alternative therapies without committing to full-length appointments. Local facilitators will offer 30-minute introductory sessions in modalities such as massage, facials, hypnosis and Tarot card readings. - The quiet corner: Positioned in a tranquil area of Mewburn Park's established gardens, this zone is designated as a silent space for selfguided meditation, independent journaling, or resting under the trees. According to the organisers, the retreat was created out of a desire to make diverse healing and wellness modalities more accessible to regional women. Tickets for the event are currently available.
