Owned and operated by local resident Kerryn Vardy, the store aims to make nutritional education and healthy lifestyle choices more accessible to the public. The Nutrition Pod offers a diverse range of products designed to support a natural lifestyle. The store’s inventory includes whole foods, plant-based and gluten-free dietary options, natural household cleaning products, and various health food treats such as specialty smoothies and açai bowls. Beyond dietary offerings, the business features an on-site infrared sauna. The sauna is designed to assist clients with physical recovery and relaxation, offering benefits that include cellular detoxification, temporary pain relief, reduced joint stiffness and support for circulation and blood pressure management. According to Ms Vardy, the foundational goal of the business is to help community members make small, informed adjustments to their daily routines to foster meaningful, long-term improvements in their energy and overall health. For Ms Vardy, establishing the business in Sale represents the culmination of a personal aspiration spanning nearly two decades. “Opening my own business was a dream I held onto for 15 to 20 years,” Vardy said. “I could always picture myself creating a space like this right here in Sale, a place where people felt comfortable, supported and inspired to take steps toward better health. Seeing that dream come to life has been incredibly rewarding.” Ms Vardy emphasised that the most fulfilling aspect of running the storefront is the opportunity to assist individuals seeking to improve their physical well-being. “Being able to offer healing foods, products, and knowledge brings a deep sense of gratitude,” she said. “Sharing better choices for health and wellness is not just what we do, it’s why we do it.” Since opening, the storefront has developed into a popular meeting place for local residents of all ages, serving as a social hub as well as a retail space. Ms Vardy credits much of the business’s positive atmosphere to her staff and the local community. “Running a business is certainly full-on, but when you genuinely love what you do, it never feels like a chore,” Ms Vardy remarked. “I’m incredibly blessed to work alongside a wonderful, supportive team, and to have friends and locals who have helped make this a safe, welcoming, and happy space for our town.” Whether residents drop in for a health consultation, a specialty drink like a sticky chai or hot chocolate, or simply a casual conversation, Ms Vardy notes that the local sense of community remains the core of the business. The Nutrition Pod welcomes familiar faces and new visitors alike during regular business hours at its Raymond Street location.
